About me. I’m married to Evelyn Garza and we have a baby boy, Emiliano. I’m originally from Monterrey, N.L. México and have been here since summer 2004. I love sushi and spicy chicken pad thai. I like to play soccer and I’m a good volleyball player. Love music. I have been a United Methodist minister for 7 years.

Me encanta el sushi y el pad thai de pollo picante. Me gusta jugar futbol y soy un buen jugador de voleibol. He sido un ministro Metodista Unido por 7 años.

Pablo Guardiola, Assistant Minister.
About me. I was born in Dallas and raised in several different areas of town. My wife Patricia and I have two amazing children, Emily and Jack. I am an avid runner and enjoy spending my free time reading and cooking. I have served in multiple congregations in different capacities; primarily dedicated to expanding God’s kingdom.

Acerca de mí. Nací en Dallas y crecí en diferentes áreas de la ciudad. Mi esposa Patricia y yo tenemos dos grandiosos hijos, Emily y Jack. Soy un ávido corredor y disfruto pasar mi tiempo libre leyendo y cocinando. He servido en múltiples congregaciones en diferentes capacidades; principalmente dedicado a expandir el reino de Dios.

Karen Araya, Office Manager.
Born and raised in Chile, eventually came to the USA as an exchange student and graduated from High School in California. With a business administration and marketing background, Karen also has worked as an Interpreter (fluent in 3 languages) and ESL tutor. She enjoys photography, graphic design, drawing, painting, crafts and internet technology. She has two children, Sean Michael & Katherine, who fulfill her as a mother.

Nacida y criada en Chile, luego vino a los Estados Unidos a través de un programa de intercambio estudiantil y se graduó de la Secundaria en California. Con conocimientos y estudios en administracion de empresas y marketing, Karen tambien se ha desempeñado como Interprete (habla 3 idiomas) y dando tutoría en ESL. Le gusta la fotografía, el diseño gráfico, dibujar, pintar, manualidades y todo lo relacionado con tecnologia e internet. Tiene 2 niños, Sean Michael y Katherine, quienes la llenan en su labor de madre.

Hortense Bell, Office Volunteer.
About me. I am a senior volunteer in the church office. I've served on many committees of the church and was president of the United Methodist Women. After retirement, I began working with the craft group and at bazaars, baking for bake sales, helping make and selling frozen casseroles. One of my chores was further developing our food pantry in cooperation with North Texas Food Bank. I have been representing my church at Annual Conference since 1990.

Acerca de mí. Soy voluntaria en la oficina de la iglesia. He servido en diversos comités de la iglesia y fui presidenta de las Mujeres Metodistas Unidas. Después de retirarme, comencé a trabajar con el grupo de manualidades y en los bazares, cocinando y horneando comida para ventas. Patricia Guardiola, Children Director.
My husband Pablo and I are incredibly blessed to be the parents of our two children, Emily and Jack. They are my biggest encouragers and I would not trade them for anything in the world. My life’s calling is working with children and I’m humbled to be able to do it in and out of ministry. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and learning from children; they are indeed resilient and precious. I am currently working on a graduate degree in Social Work, so there is not a lot of “spare time”. However, when I can find a few minutes, I like to sleep!

Mi esposo Pablo y yo somos increíblemente bendecidos con nos nuestros dos hijos, Emily y Jack. Ellos son mis más grandes animadores y nos los cambiaría por nada en el mundo. El llamado de Dios para mi vida es trabajar con niños y estoy muy agradecida de poder hacerlo dentro y fuera del ministerio. Me encanta enseñar y aprender de los niños, ellos son las personas más vulnerables y preciosas. Actualmente estoy terminado un grado escolar en el área de Trabajo Social, así que no tengo mucho “tiempo libre.” Sin embargo, cuando puedo encontrar algunos minutos libres, me gusta dormir!

Rafael Fontalvo, Worship and Music Director.
About me. I was born in Colon, Panama and have lived in Dallas, Texas since the age of 12. I have a one and a half year old daughter Aaliyah Nicole Fontalvo and I enjoy learning new things everyday. I really enjoy meeting new people and studying the clarinet.

Acerca de mi. Nací en la cuidad de Colon, en Panamá y e vivido en Dallas, Texas desde que tenia 12 anos. Tengo una hija llamada Aaliyah Nicole Fontalvo de un ano y medio y me gusta aprender cosas nuevas todos los días. Me fascina conocer personas nuevas y estudiar mi instrumento musical el clarinete.
